How do I tun off Sychronizing of offline files?

James

Open Windows Help and Support. In Search Help type Offline Files.
Read the references to Syncing.

That's about all I've been doing for the past 2 days. Help and support tells
tells how to establish syncing but nothing about disabling it - at least I
haven't found it.
On the internet I see article about disabling it and they seem to say the
same thing:
Open Panel>Network and Internet>Offline Files.
Problem is I have no Network and Internet icon in my Control Panel. I do
have:
Control Panel|Network and Sharing Center. And there is no Offline Files
setting in there.

Sorry about the multi-post. Windows Mail didn't alert me that there was
the same subject

James

I did that. I see no 'Offline Files' anywhere.
In the left pane 'Network and Internet' is "highlighted"
In the left pane I see:
Network and Sharing Center
Internet Options
Windows Firewall
People Near Me
Sync Center
I see no 'Offline Files' under any of these.

James

I'm using Vista Basic sp1.
I see all but 'Offline Files'.
When I search for 'off' The first in the list is Personalize.
Not sure if it matters, but, I have everything turned off
in Network and Sharing Center. Maybe all these being turned of
Vista sees no need to display Offline Files??
I have processes run that I don't need.
mobsync.exe pops up occasionally .

James

ok. I'll dig further.

Thanks,
James

In Network and Sharing Center under Sharing and Discovery I have
everything off except Password Protected Sharing.

When I open Offline Files it tells me Offline Files is currently enabled
and the Disable Offline files button has the focus (i.e. is high-lighted).

I don't know what to suggest for your setup.
