Hi,
I need sometimes, when at home and connected via VPN, to go offline using my
offline files. Is there a way I can manually go offline without actually
disconnecting from my VPN?

I would really like an answer to this too if no one has it. Being online is
fine over a VPN is fine for outlook but too slow to work on files in My
Documents. I need to tell the PC to be offline.

I have put up the offline file slow link speeds but ideally it is I who want
the option.

You need to be running XP Pro & disable fast user switching, I think
that is what you need to disable. I can't remember if you also need to
disable welcome screen, but I do know you need to at least disable fast
user switching. Unless I read the help file wrong as I'm writing this
from my memory on the subject.
