Offline files wil not sync

Any ideas?

New user on a fresh build laptop - Mydocs is available when online and
connected to DFS share but refuses to make its self available offline, had
this problem quite a few times before and all it normally requires is to
disconnect network cable and create new file in mydocs, reconnect network and
select syncronise on mydocs, restart pc and next time you log in as user all
files appear flagged as syncronised files.

At present failing at the point where you create the new file as only
recognises mydocs as an online drive. I've tried cleaning out profile and
starting from scratch, checked on another build and same issue occured,
Reformatted offline cache, removed user and machine policy and re-applied
policies.

Sorted this one myself in the end so please ignore this post and the one
below as I accidentally posted twice.

Noticed that 'UserID Pictures' and 'UserID MyMusic' folders were not being
created when logging user on for firts time in Mydocs folder.

Deleted Mydocs of server and then allowed Active Directory to recreate
Mydocs. Logged user onto another clean build and MYdocs was then populated
with the normal folders that I would expect to see and when taking laptop off
network allowed me to create a new document to trigger off the sync process.

The Offline Files feature is nice in theory, but simply doesn't work
reliably - google around, there are tons of gripes about it.

I reccommend turning it off completely, and getting yourself a copy of the
MS SyncToy and learning how to use it to manually perform a sync when you
need it. Version 1.2 uses .NET 1.1, the newest version 1.4 uses .NET 2.0,
otherwise they are pretty much the same. Be sure you have/get the right
..NET redistributable to install too, and visit winupdate afterwards to
check for updates to .NET.

Note: .NET 2.0 is NOT an upgrade to 1.1, they BOTH co-exisit on a system.

How Do I Know If I have .NET installed?:

look in \WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework

There shd be a folder in there for each version installed. Also, in
Start Menu: Administrative Tools there is a configuration "panel" utility.
