Offline Files Headache.

Basically, I need to find out how to remove a resource
out of the Syncronization list on a Windows 2000 machine.
I am going to give a brief explaination of my problem. I
had a server with a shared directory that crashed and was
replaced. Several of my users had Offline Files turned on
for that share and it was set to sync on logoff or
shutdown. Now with the server no longer existing it is
constantly giving them a "<Servername> is no longer
available you are now working offline". I can not for my
life figure out how to stop those PC's from trying to
sync or connect to that non-existant server. Is there a
registry entry that I can delete to fix this or what. If
I uncheck the server in the Syncronization status it does
not do anything. Help!

Yes, there is a tool callled csccmd.exe that microsoft put out on their windows 2003 resource kit or you can downloaded as well. let me ask you a question, do you have the users to use offline files to point to the new server? if so then you can use this tool. so basically you will need the name of the old server and share name and the name of the new server and share name. The command goes something like this c:\\csccmd.exe /moveshare:\\oldserver\oldsharename \\newserver\newsharename and that will move the old share to the new server. Here is the link to the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&displaylang=en

send me an email if you need any more help
