Hello,

I'm trying to set up Offline Files synchronization on a
WinXP Home Edition Notebook. Offline Web Pages is
availble and works fine, but I can't seem to setup or
findout how to set up offline files sharing. Is this
feature only available on WinXP PRO? If it IS available
on Home Edition, how do I set it up?

Thanks,
Paul

The Offline Files feature is only available with Windows XP Professional.

Carey,

Thanks. I thought so.

My Palm Desktop app is not working with my user files
setup with Briefcase so I thought I would try Offline
files. Guess not. You don't know if there is a way to
make briefcase work to you?

Paul

I haven't used briefcase in a while, but I don't remember being too thrilled
with it. Nor with offline files, for what its worth. See www.centered.com
and check out SecondCopy - it's cheap, does the job beautifully.

So why is it then described both in the built-in help in XP Home and in
the online help for XP Home at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...roductdoc/en/csc_prepare_to_work_offline.asp?

Nowhere in either of the two places can I find any word about it not
being supported in XP Home.
