Office11 Normal.dot will not change after I go through all the st

I went through all of the steps and still Normal.dot stays the same when I
open up word. I do not want the font to open up with Time New Roman Font.

Why won't this change take?

I chose Garamond and chose change default , then clicked yes.

It still opened with times roman.

Is Adobe Acrobat 7.0 installed on the computer? If yes, then the
Acrobat 7.0 Create Adobe PDF toolbar add-in for Word prevents
Word from automatically saving changes to the normal.dot template
(which is where the default font setting is stored). See

It ( The Adobe Download)worked on my computer. Now I will just have to try
this on the client's computer. Thank you.
