Office XP Outlook Error

Cannot save the attachement. Can't create file: Fax1.tif. Right-click the
folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the
shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder.

this comes up after trying to open a fax file (in .tif form)

any ideas?

i have created a new folder on the desktop and under documents, made sure
all access was allowed, and tried to save the .tif file to it, but still the
same error.

any help would be appreciated.
