MS Excel hung-up on me and the dialogue announcing the
app's eminent closing was the first of a series that
eventually led me into downloading an Office Udate from
download.microsoft.com to my desktop. The file is named
o2ksr1a.exe and is described as Win32 Cabinet Self-
Extractor. I have tried several times to install it.
Each time I have had to click through my ZoneAlarm
firewall and re-connect to the internet. After re-
establishing the connection and attempting the subsequent
download for several minutes, it finally gives up with
the dialogue: "Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Update could
not download the Office 2000 SR-1 Core Update. Do you
want to retry or cancel?" I don't see it listed as a
currently installed program so I'm hoping it's safe to
get rid of it by deleting or trashing the icon and re-
attempting the download from the website. Perhaps it
would be better just to restore my system before re-
visiting the website, or to restore it after deleting the
executable file icon.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
