I installed MS Office Enterprises on my laptop a few weeks ago. Everything
was fine until recently. Now when I try to launch Outlook, Enterprises tries
to reinstall but stops when I get this error message:

Error 1308 set up cannot find the requires C:\MSO cache\all users.... check
your connection to the network...

Any idea what's happened and hw I can solve it?

Since there are so many pirated versions of the Enterprise software on the
market most on these newsgroups won't assist with that version of the
software. Recommend that if you have a legitimate Business purchased volume
license or a legitimate Home Use purchase from your place of employment you
contact either your IT department or Microsoft directly for assistance.

An explanation - Office Enterprise can only be purchased by a business or
academic entity as part of a volume license and the Home Use license is then
available to qualified employees of the company or institution. If an
Enterprise license is purchased from a store or off the web, not as part of
the volume license, then the software is pirated and in violation of the
EULA. If the later is the case with your software, I recommend contacting
the place of purchase for full refund and if that is denied then you need to
contact Microsoft in reference to the pirated software. Microsoft has
remedies for purchased pirated software as part of their Genuine Advantage
program.

{ canned answer}

For Office Enterprise issues see the following. Support on this version is only
available from MS or your IT Department and we cannot help you here with the Office
Enterprise version.

Sorry but we do not know if it is Pirated or not. You should have gotten these
instructions as above on your Home Program purchase from your Company

The support for Office 2007 Enterprise is free and look and open

when office is installed
it creates a folder id'd
as the mso cache.

if the folder gets deleted
then you will have to use
the cd to "repair" the office
system.

also, look in services via
admin tools.

there is a service known
as office source engine
that should be enabled.

incidentally, be advised that
unlike the other modules where
you can have multiple versions
installed, you can only have 1
version of outlook installed on
a system.

this is not a sale or marketing
limitation, but a technical one.

We are talking about Office Enterprise. What you posted does not apply Since this
version is not available to the general public it has it's own repair and fix . The
OP has to get in contact with the IT department from where he procured it through
the Home Program or Microsoft to fix issues on this version of Office

perhaps.

but the only issue the o.p.
is stating to have is with
outlook and that it needs
to connect to the network,
likely to the exchange
server.

if it cannot, then it will try
to run repair and look for
the setup files, in the mso
cache.

it really makes no difference
if it is enterprise, professional,
etc...

outlook is engineered with
its own set of rules regardless
of the office version

but I'm not disregarding the
advice of others to contact
their technical support.
