Office Communicator stored on exhange server, locally, or where?

I would like to use Office Communicator to be able to monitor my Outlook
email at work and also my personal Hotmail email account. My concern though
is if my Hotmail emails are now being stored on the Outlook exchange server?
Or are they stored locally on my pc or is it just a cached 'view' of my
Hotmail email account?

Office Communicator not a mail client. Installing it has no effect on your
email nor does it do what you think it does. I believe you mean the Outlook
Connector? That creates a local cache.
