Office 97

Hi there,
I have a problem with setting up Office 97 on Terminal Server 2003 SP1. The
main thing here is Access 97, because the system.mdv is not shared for the
users. I know there Appcomp Script in Windows 2000 to handle that, but I'm
not quite shure how to set it up for 2003?
I can pass the user settings over the registry to the specified paths I
need, but how can I manage to share the system.mdw?

Thanks Carsten

You should copy the Application Compatibility Scripts from a W2K
server and run them on the 2003 server also.

From the Office97.cmd script:

Rem Change the Access 97 System Database to Read only. This lets
Rem multiple people run the database simultaneously. However, it
Rem disables the ability to update the System Database, which is
Rem normally done through the Tools/Security menu option. If you
Rem need to add users, first you must put write access back on the
Rem system database.
