Office 97 on XP

This has probably already been asked a trillion times ...

I seem to remember seeing postings somewhere in a newsgroup that Office 97 Pro
runs just fine under XP.

Can anyone confirm or dispute this?

It does work, however because of it's age Office Update will not
automatically apply updates. So after installing Office 97, you'll
need to apply Service Releases manually.
I believe the last release was 2B, and can be downloaded here:

I have it installed on my Windows XP computer, runs fine, no problems.

yes it does but there is a bug when using the spell checker with outlook
express, there is a fix for it.

Yes, that's correct. So does Office 95 (at least Word 95 works; I
haven't tried the other Office 95 apps).
