In word 2007 you can send the document to a new email message by clicking the
email icon on the taskbar. Well its not working. What setting do i have to
change to make the link open a new message?

Thanks
Dom

Do you have Outlook installed? I don't think it will work without
Outlook's MAPI handler.

Gary:

Im running vista os with winmail which i beleive has the MAPI options. I've
looked all over winmail and word options for the proper settings but no luck.

Thanks again

No, Windows Mail doesn't do MAPI. You will need to install Outlook.

Gary:

Need some advice. Is there an advantage to use outlook as my email client? I
know it also has other features that are kind of helpfull.

I had winmail problems in the past ie ghost mail but it apears to be working
well now!

Let me know what you think and is outlook available for vista 32 bit and can
i download it fron MS fro free!

Thanks so much for your time

Either Outlook 2003 or 2007 will work fine with Vista. Outlook is not free.
You can probably pick up an inexpensive copy of Outlook 2003 on eBay.
Outlook is more complex because it has many features.
