Office 2007 question

I am trying Outlook 2007 with Windows Vista (I know... two bads don't make a
good) Anyway when I try to import my settings from Office 2000, I get an
error message: "File access is denied. You don't have the permission
required to access the file backup.pst". I tried taking ownership of the
file but that doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help out there...

This is my first time in a newsgroup. I have the same situation as below
Vista and Office 07. I cannot get Outlook 07 to even install! All other
Office 07 components work well. Secondly, I cannot reply or write new MSN
messages (no problem with AOL). This is a real mess and i have been on the
phone for over 4 hours with different folks at MS. They arn't sure what the
MSN problem is. Can anyone help....Please!

How are you trying to "import the settings?" With Outlook or with Vista?

Wouldn't this issue be better posted in the MSFT Outlook newsgroup?

Try right clicking on the shortcut to Outlook and choose Run as
Administrator and see if that fixes it.
