Hi, I have sent up numerous autotext signatures, signoffs, inserts for
letters and they are there for a day and then when I go to use the following
day they disappear. The computer is not turned off at the end of the day.
So its a dilemma to me wondering why it is there working 1 minute and gone
the next.

Whether or not the computer is turned off - what about Word? These items
will be stored in the normal template by default. When Word is closed that
normal template needs to be saved, and it needs to be available in its saved
form when you re-open Word for the items to remain available.

Suzanne has hinted at one possible cause- overnight network management -
another is that you have some software that is preventing Word from saving
the normal template. Early versions of the add-in for Acrobat 7 were
notorious for this - but there will be others including document management
systems.
