Hi,
We just purchased a new systems with Vista home premium. We updated our
"windows update," but we need to update the office products. Is there a one
click button for updating Office 2000? Also, we noticed different service
packs, but we installed SP3 for office 2000. Do we need to installed SP1 and
SP2 or is SP3 sufficient? Thank you. -p

The Windows Update checkup for Office products is only for Office 2003 and
Office 2007. It does not include Office 2000. You will still have to do
that manually. As well as SP3 should be just fine. It should include the
stuff from SP1 & SP2.

Yes, you have install in chronological order, its a requirement of the RTM
release of Office 2000 that you have Service Release 1 installed first.
Also, I am not sure about updating, but Office 2000 is not supported by the
new Windows Update in Vista, you will have download updates manually by
going to http://officeupdate.microsoft.com

Hi Andre,
Actually, office 2000 that we initially installed had 2000 sr-1 already on
it. We did not install SP2 because SP3 had items from sp2 on it. Thanks a
bunch!

Hey Dr. Palpatine,

Sweet! As you noted, all you need to install is Service Pack 2 and 3 in
addition to any post updates.

Actually, we did Not install SP2, but installed SP3. I hope by not
installing SP2 won't cause any problems. sorry for my typos. long day. dr.

Well, then I would assume updates for SP2 have been rolled up in SP3 so the
need to install SP2 would have been unnecessary.
