Office 2000 SR-1 patch removal

Can nayone tell me how to remove the Office 2000 SR-1
Professional patch? The Add/Remove utility cannot open the
patch to remove it. (I no longer need the Office 2000 SR-
1 Professional patch because I upgraded to Office XP)

In the first place this question belongs to an Office Newsgroup.

Second: were do you see the Office 2000 SR-1 Professional patch
is still around?
I would assume installation of Office XP would take care of
"removal" of this patch.
Even better: I would have uninstalled Office 2000 then installed
Office XP.
