office 2000 not installing

new user...office 2000, everything smooth till installation process where
error reading file. then the whole installation process stops on clicking ok
on the error mesg.

are you using an original copy of office. if you are not someone might
have not coppied it correctly.

are the cds you ar eusing scratched or dmanaged in anyway?

you could try copying the cd contents to your hard drive then running it
from there, this may get around the read error
