Office 2000 and Windows XP

I am experiencing a significant lag in Office 2000 apps running on Windows XP machines on a Windows 2000 Server network. Word seems to be the worst. No problem with Office on 98 and 2000 machines. Anyone know of problems with XP Professional/Office 2000 Professional and Windows 2000 Server?

Well I do,
It seems that windows xp blocks others user from use documents even if the document is already closed.
The conection with the server never closes.
