"OFF" utility ???

some time ago I found a small utility that would allow 1 click to shut down
the PC ( xp Proff ) any one know where I might find one ??

Just go to the advanced tab in your power options and set the computer to
shutdown when you press the power button.
 
Yes I know that works but the real reason want a utility ( and I am lazy
!)is that one of my computers is in an other part of the building and I
control it remotely
 
%windir%\System32\Shutdown.exe -s -t 0

Put that in the target line of a new shortcut.

Windows even has a power button icon if you want to get fancy.

Another thought is to go to Control Panel - Power Options, and on the
Advanced page set 'When I push the Power button on the computer' to
'Shut down'
