OEM full install disk qualified for upgrade?

Hi,
Will an OEM full install disk for Win XP Pro qualify for an eventual
upgrade?
- can a future upgrade be installed over it?
- if a re-install of the upgrade is neccesary, will the OEM disk serve as a
qualifying disk?

Thanks

On previous experience with other new Windows versions, yes it will.
That is what an Upgrade is supposed to do. XP will install over any
previous windows except Win 95 or earlier - and an NT system must be
upgraded to XP Pro

OEM disks usually are images of the system as installed and do not get
recognised. In XP the way you do it is start from that recovered
system, and run from there - if you take New Install and delete and
recreate the partition, the check has already been made

But I can't guarantee that future systems will work the same way
