OE6 starts Win Messenger

How can I stop Outlook Express 6 from starting Windows Messenger 4.7?

I've unchecked the run options, & also the option in Norton AV.

I'm having similar problems (thanks to my suposedly
babysitting nephew commandeering my laptop and setting up
Messenger - which I don't use!!)

Every time I start Outlook 2003 it auto logs in to
Messenger. I've tried to disable this but not stopping
it.

Any idea before the endless banal messages from teenagers
send me insane?

To stop this behavior, simply close Outlook Express, then download and run the following .reg
file:
