OE waits 30 sec. to send

I asked this question to the OE group but didn't have a good help at all. I
know it's a weird problem. Everytime I pushed to Send button to send my
email, my Outlook Express waits 30 s. to send my emails then sends. This is
true for every attempt. If there are more than one in the Outbox waiting in
the queue for take off, each has to wait another 30s. I don't have an
anti-virus runing. There must be something set hidden somewhere in the PC
but I don't know how to find. Would you help me? Thanks!

Do you have "Send messages immediately" checked on the
Tools->Options->Send
menu? If you don't, the send button on a newly created message
just places the message in the Outbox. It gets sent the
next time the interval timer expires. The timer is configured on the
Tools->Options->General
menu.

Another possibility is ZoneAlarm Pro if you are using it and have
it configured to scan outgoing email.

Well, if you don't have an antivirus running you are probably infected
with something nasty. Additionally, you may have trojans and all sorts
of spyware/malware running. Get your computer cleaned up with a current
antivirus using updated definitions. Remove spyware with Spybot Search
& Destroy and/or Ad-aware. If you can't do this yourself, call a good
local computer repair shop (not a BestBuy or CompUSA type store).

"Send immediately" is checked. May be a clue, when I send a post a news
group at the same way, it goes right away. No wait. Only emails wait 30s.
