OE Spell Checker Won't Work in XP

Just loaded IE 6 in new computer with XP and cannot get
the spell checker to work. I also have MS Office 97
loaded. It's my understanding that OE uses the Office
speling data base.

I tried Outlook and it works in it but I like the Express
version better for my needs
