Outlook Express Spell Checker

I have noticed that I can not use spell checker on OE since I installed
outlook office 2007. It worked fine with the 2003 version.

Is this a compatibility problem or something else?

Yes, a compatibility problem. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=932974 "You no longer have
spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook Express
6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system". The
usual workaround is to install a third-party spellchecking
utility (there are many, some free, some not, just ask Google).

If you still have the Office 2003 installation disc you can re-install the
proofing section of that and restore the spell check - see
http://www.gmayor.com/office_2003_proofing_tools.htm (ignoring the parts
about additional proofing tools - unless you had those too) and check the
language(s) you have available that you wish to use.
