OE insists on dialup connection

Connections for various mail and newsgroup accounts in OE 6.00.2800.1807 run
in Windows2000 are marked as "Any Available", which worked fine until I
created a new dialup connection which was tested before returning to using
the ethernet LAN connection. Now, every time I try to send email or connect
to a newsgroup, OE insists on dialing that new dialup account even though I
am currently connected to the Internet through the LAN.

How do I restore "Any Available" connections to email and newsgroups, even
though they are marked that way? Restarting OE and rebooting seem to have
no effect whatsoever on eliminating the dialup connection method upon which
OE insists.

Tools | Options | General. If My computer is not connected at this time - Do
not connect.

In IE: Tools | Internet Options | Connections. Check: Never dial a
connection.

Check your settings in these areas also, and make sure there is no
indication of using Dial-up.

Thank you ... I hate it when Billy wants to **** with the settings I've
chosen without asking first.
