OE doesn't use cleartype

Not sure whether this is an IE or OE or Windows problem, hence the
crosspost!

New (clean) installation of XP SP2 on my Toshiba laptop, all patches
installed. IE7 installed, "Use Cleartype" option checked.
OE does NOT use cleartype! I have a feeling there is a setting somewhere I
need to change - can anyone point me to that setting? (OE uses cleartype on
my desktop....)

Thanks.

You need to enable ClearType for the whole user interface, not only IE
(which has its own settings); you can do that in the screen settings of
Control Panel.

OE Never did and never will use cleartype in Windows XP

certainly does.....
Control Panel-Display-Appearance-Effects-"Use the following method to smooth
edges of screen fonts" and choose "cleartype"....

Right click on the desktop and choose Properties/Appearance tab/Effects
button and make sure that clear type is chosen from "Use the following
method to smooth edges of screen fonts".

Thanks - I knew I'd done it somewhere before but couldn't remember where!

Sure. Folks in a group with OE in title could probably help. Notice
this group is not for OE and doesn't even have OE in it's title.

Ask elsewhere.
