OE 6 Filter blocking other mail

I've set up my options to screen out any messages not having my e-mail
address, as mentioned in this group and it is working, but it is also
catching other subscription type mail that I wish to keep. I remember
someone said of a workaround for other e-mail that you wish not to be
screened out by the "if 'to' line does not contain (e-mail address)". Can
anyone tell me what this is?

Thanks

You can set an earlier rule to say if the from line
contains <mail list name here> stop processing
more rules.

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the From line contains 'my subscribed to mail list name'
Stop processing more rules

....or send to folder and then stop processing more rules.
....or highlight, send to folder, and then stop processing more rules.
....or ~ well, you get the picture.

If you have a "delete from server" action in a rule, that rule shouldn't
be preceded by a rule that checks anything in the body, only in the
header. Otherwise you will have already downloaded the message
from the server to check the criteria.
