Odd Small Printing...?

K

Kenneth

Howdy,

I'm using Word 2002 with XP...

I just printed a few pages (to an HP Laserjet 1020) and, to
my surprise, the text was very small, that is, everything
was "compressed."

Print Preview looks just fine.

I will add that the doc has a few "Comments" in it, and I
rarely use those.

What might be causing this doc to "shrink" on its way to the
printer?

Many thanks,

Printing comment balloons does make the text get smaller, but not all
that small. Does your printer dialog have a "Document" as opposed to
"Document Showing Markup" option?

It depends on how much space you've allocated to "markup." You can choose
the "preferred width" (in inches or percentage) for the comments and other
markup. For just a very few comments, you could certainly allow less than
the default (which seems to be 3" in Word 2007 and possibly 2.5" in Word
2003).

Thanks to both of you, with the info you have provided I can
experiment further.

All the best,
