"ODBC cannot lock all records" error message

Hi all,
I posted this inquiry in the conversion section 5 days
ago, but nobody got back to me. The problem is the
following:

After I converted a DataBase from Access97 to Access2K,
everything worked well so far (ODBC Linked tables,
queries, reports) except for some forms that give me an
error message "ODBC cannot lock all records" whenever I
attempt to open these forms. In addition none of the
command buttons in these forms work and when I try to
close the form, I get the error message "The program is
not responding". The forms work fine in Access97. Please
help.
