Objects not found in active directory

Why doesn't work with XP searching function when I using
the search function to try find people object in active
directory?

I just got the return message " unable to find the object
in active directory"

Thanks for your kindly attention!
 
You are a member of a domain in that Active Directory
and your Tcp/Ip is configured to use only the DNS
servers that support that Active Directory ?
