object is corrupt

I am experiencing embedded excel document editing problems.
I create a excel sheet with calculations and pivot table from word. Save it
and reopens 100%, After 30 minutes of inactivity on the docoment the excel
object can't be edited?

Any suggesteions

Office 2003 SP2 with all latest updates.

+1. I have the same problem.
Win2K or WinXP, Office 2003 SP2 or Office 2000 SP3.
 
How complex is you word document and what object do you have embedded?
I have a word document with excel embeded. my word document goes corrupt
when word autosaves it looses the ability to edit the excel objects :-(
