O2003 asking for Hotmail password

I've been running Outlook 2003 SP1 on my machine accessing my paid Hotmail
account for at least 18 months without any trouble. Just in the last couple
of weeks it has started intermittently prompting for my Hotmail password.
Every time I click the ok button the password dialog comes back again. The
password entered appears to be correct. Restarting Outlook makes the problem
go away for a while. It's happening 2 - 3 times a day. Would appreciate any
thoughts on how to fix this.

I'm getting the same here :-(

Any fix or workaround?

I might suspect that my "now illegally formed password" be in cause, since I still have a very old password of the time 4+ characters were good passwords.
