Welcome to the last Millenium!

Ramlal Bhagat, a XII std. student from Haryana, has developed a 32-bit
operating system demonstrated to be far superior to any of the desktop
operating systems in the market today.

"O-Yes is 34% faster than Microsoft's Windows 95 on similar hardware.
* It is 29% faster than IBM's OS/2.

* O-Yes loads 54% quicker than Windows 95 or OS/2."

Apparently India hasn't discovered W98 as yet.

It is not that India Not Discovered WIN-98 !!!

The Post was about the NEW (Unknown) OS - and The Post in the Links was
having Comparision with WIN-95. We should be specific to POST !!!

Thanks
Prabhat

Apparently, it's idiocy like this, and people with blinkers on like you, who
love living in a fool's paradise. Feels great, doesn't it? If you guys are
really so smart, why are you losing jobs to Asians?

G

Gordie

So, the $120,000 job moves to India (for eg.) and becomes a $30,000 job
there.
Who is the real loser? The person who now has a job or the one who is now
earning zero?

Corporate Greed! If Asian labor was as expensive as US/European Labor, then
they jobs would stay where they are. But many countries, the labor does not
require much of the benefits found in the US/European markets - i.e.
Medical, Dental, Vision, Pension, 401(k), Stock Options, Stock Purchase,
Paid Time Off such as Personal, Sick and Vacation Time, and most of all
taxes, for every tax paid by an employee, the employer must match (in the US
anyways), such as Federal, State, Social Security, and then some the
employee is unaware, such as Federal and State Unemployment Insurance taxes.

1. Are you referring to something I posted, or to Prabhat?
2. Who are 'people with blinkers on like you"? Be specific!
3. If you are referring to Prabhat; for your information, India is part of
Asia; Indians are also Asians.
4. What's the point you're trying to make - if any?

David Candy

If you want to suggest to someone that they are backward, as Dlip is from India, and you told him that he and his country are so backward they haven't discovered 98 yet.

Still an Indian called us convicts yesterday (on SMH's live cricket coverage 3rd test). So it's 1 All.

But then I complained to the Herald last week over them publishing a mention of Indians as curry munchers (SMH's 2nd test coverage).

So it's 2 to ugly Australians vs 1 for Indians. Unfortunately the one with the highest score loses.

If you read the article it is not a new operating system but one written a few years ago. Further there are lots of experimental operating systems. I find it credible that such a thing exists. But if programs aren't written for an OS then noone want it.

Sorry, I didn't follow or read the original link, David, but Googled & found
this one posted on 1 Sept. 2004 -
http://tinyurl.com/5wtrd

It gave the impression that it was 'news', e.g. (quote in part) -

"Ramlal Bhagat will be featured on NDTV on September 10, 2004"
"Send this to as many of your friends and relatives as possible so that when
the product hits the market every one will appreciate it."

The way I read it was that it was a newly developed OS.

Luckily they didn't refer to us as Candy munchers, that'd give you a reason
to write to the SMH!

Can you follow a thread?

You're just incredibly daft. Admit it.
3. If you are referring to Prabhat; for your information, India is part of
Asia; Indians are also Asians.

Thanks for that. I'm in India, and am unaware of the fact that we're a part
of Asia.
4. What's the point you're trying to make - if any?

Don't bother. You might sprain a muscle in your brain.

D

DILIP

Do more with less. Sounds familiar, doesn't it. The best thing (for us) is
that you guys think you're capable of providing a superior service than
anyone else. Luckily for us, the orgs we compete for, think otherwise.

D

DILIP

I've always wondered what sort of people write those nonsensical letters.
If somebody calls you a convict or me a curry muncher, I really don't see
why one should get agitated about it and let it affect your life. Oh, and
after 2 years of seeing my name in the news group and in a few Emails, David
still hasn't spelt it right once.

D

David Candy

That's because I can't see very well and I use Arial font so I never seen the I between D and L till today when I blew up the font size.

J

johnf

Well, it appears you can write English words, but apparently aren't capable
of using them in a coherent manner, as I made 4 points but you
didn't/couldn't answer one - strike 1.

You don't even know where you live!! Quote - "I'm in India, and am unaware
of the fact that we're a part of Asia" - strike 2.

"India, officially Republic of India (Hindi Bharat), country in SOUTHERN
ASIA.
Located on the subcontinent of India. It is bounded on the north by
Afghanistan, China, Nepal, and Bhutan; on the east by Bangladesh, Myanmar
(formerly known as Burma), and the Bay of Bengal; on the south by the Palk
Strait and the Gulf of Mannar (which separates it from Sri Lanka) and the
Indian Ocean; and on the west by the Arabian Sea and Pakistan.

Can't wait for strike 3.
