Of today's MS patches, what I've installed so far seems OK and curiously I hear no comments nor howls of anguish in the XP NGs either. Perhaps it's too early in the day. Oddly enough, when I completed installing MS10-030 (KB978542) no reboot request was apparent, although the documentation indicated so.

R robinb May 11, 2010 #3 I had 4 in xp and 4 in windows 7 2 were for office 2003 1 was the malicious tool and one was the critical update which is for outlook express and windows live mail no reboot was asked and all went fine robin
