No doubt it will be overtaken in 3 months and will be £199 ($349). The 9800 Pro's are really cheap now, and they were fantastic not too long ago (and can still run almost everything).

however, if you buy it now from EVGA you get a free T-shirt!! i bet you would need a hefty processor to fully utilize it

7800 reviews

I have just read Custom PC initial review of these card.

As per usual it gave all the scientific guff on its architecture etc.

However it had one line that sums it up for most of us gamers.

It is better at doing linear type graphics like telephone wires and vegetation.

I wonder how many of us are going to be staring nose on the screen to see the result?

Oh and its plays Far-Cry better with new improved HDR technology!

That will do

Tee hee

i am sure that it can draw distant objects clearly (antistophic filtering) and it can beat 2 6800GT,s on sli althought if you have a 6600gt, or 6800gt i wouldnt run out and buy it... just stick with what you got, games that are coming out even today dont fully utilize 256mb or ps 3.0 i can still play games at high settings with my cluncky old 5900, although i do have a rig that has a 6600GT however i am running a 2600 barton in it therefore i cant run the card to the max potential oh by the way, after about 3 months of browzing around on video cards
6600gt's went down in price!! one more thing to consider, this "new" line of the 7800's yes will kick some butt, however maybe about 6months to a year from now they will have cheaper memory, and cheaper everything, they always do that just like the 9800 pro dont have the r360 core as they once did before.
