NVIDIA & Games Solved!

Have NVIDIA Ti4200, 128 Mb RAM and have always had latest NVIDIA drivers and MoBo drivers,
but always plagued with sudden crashes back to desktop on high end Games.

Uninstalled all NVIDIA drivers and then logged on to Windows Update page and downloaded the
latest NVIDIA display driver from MS.

Everything running like a charm!!

Touch wood. Played Rise of Nations for 2 hours without a crash!!

Just got a Blue screen of death stop error.

Stop 0xE4B3C15C
with N4_disp.dll at fault at address BFA5C8F6 and base at BF99E00

Anyone have any idea what this is??

Assume NVIDIA at fault again!

yep, that is nvidias fault - and yet ATI ahs crap drivers..lol

go bak to an earlier driver version be SURE to remove ALL traces of any
previous nvidia driver.
i would say try a 40.* or 41.* range driver - personally i use 41.09's and i
over clock my card - so they are stable for my ti4600.

I have progressively worked thru most NVIDIA as well as the card manufactures drivers and
none are perfect.

I uninstall software and remove hardware from the System and then reboot into safe mode to
install newer drivers.

Only thing I haven't been able to run is the Detonator_Rip remover, that doesn't seem to
want to run.

It pee's me off that NVIDIA driver is obviously addressing a memory area that XP needs and
is causing HUGE problems for a lot of people trying to run high end games.

well, unfortunantly, it is not just high end games, i have been surfing the
wb, or simply just rebooted my comp and left it there at the desktop and it
has crashed for me. I will say i have not had a B.S.O.D for some time no
though. - as in well over 7 or 8 months.
