nVidia drivers 45.23 and Windows Update

Hi all, Yesterday Windows Update reported that the following was available
for download and installation. Microsoft Corporation - Video NVIDIA
display software update released on July 28 2003. Download size: 12.2 MB, 24
minutes.
However, in August I downloaded and installed these same WHQL drivers from
the NVIDIA web site. The driver file date is July 28, 2003 and they are
version 45.23.

Am I missing something, or is Windows Update in error? --
Please address any replies to the news group. My email address is false.

Windows update is in error .. a) this update isn't 'critical', b) it's
already obsolete, and c) installing nVidia drivers this way is fraught
with problems (depending where you start from, driver wise). I suggest
you decline MS's kind offer (especially if you aren't on broadband).

Exactly the same here, I just sorta laugh and ignore.
