Numerous System Stops/Memory Dumps

Jeff

Since installing XP Home I have been plagued by
numerous "serious errors". Have the machine stripped
down to bare bones and still get them. OCA says it is a
driver problem but cannot tell which one. Most recent
one was a system stop with the message "problem caused by
NTFS.SYS Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area" Technical info
shows "stop:0x00000050 (0xe2920ff0, 0x00000000,
0BAEFB46B, 0x00000001) NTSF.SYS address BAEFB46B base at
BAECF000, Date Stamp 306DE5C1. Is there anyone at
Microsoft that can answer this mproblem? Figure they'd
be getting tired of my send error messages.

Thanks!

Hello Jeff,

You need to have the crash analyzed by a Microsoft Support Professional to
know for sure what the problem is. Make sure you a have a Complete Dump
enabled, then call Microsoft Support for an analysis once you have a
complete memory dump. The dumps you are sending to Microsoft are called
Mini dumps and may not have enough information to resolve the issue. Since
it appears that this one may be occuring in NTFS.SYS then the following KB
has an updated version of this file that may help. You still need to call
to obtain this update.
