Numerous problems with Outlook 07 after crash

Hi again,

No doubt due to the fact Outlook crashed and died last year, followed
by me patching it up less than perfectly, I have several issues with
with which I'd be grateful for help:

1) When starting Outlook I am asked to chose between two profiles. I
only need one of them - where are they stored, so I can delete one?

2) When opening Calendar I get the message "some of your reminders
cannot be opened".

3) In Calendar, clicking on day view I get a message on the bottom
panel saying "the operation failed. An object could not be found".

4) When clicking on the To Do List icon under "My Tasks" I cannot see
the tasks I have created and get the message "Cannot Display The
Folder". I can see my tasks if I click on the icon above this,
"Tasks".

And not really a problem, but how can I completely shut Outlook down,
other than through task manager? It sits in my quick launch tool bar
and I'm not sure how to change settings so it goes away (Vista
Business).

Thanks in advance for helping me out with these issues.

1. control panel, mail. (Use the classic control panel view to find it.)

2. restart outlook using the /cleanreminders switch
http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/switches.htm

3. I had the same error the past few days but I'm not sure what fixed it. Do
you have live maps installed? Try using Help, Office diagnostics then
reboot.

4. reboot and see if it works. If not, open outlook using the /cleanviews
switch.

5. You have something that is keeping outlook open... pdas are the common
cause but any application that accesses outlook data will do it.

Thanks Diane, I've been meaning to reply but haven't yet worked
through all of your suggestions. In the meantime, I have dealt
successfully with the profile issue. Who would have thought to look at
Control Panel??! Anyway, thanks for your reply.
