Numerous Add or Remove Programs Entries???

Kyle Strawitz

Hello I've recently downloaded an assorted variety of
Hotfixes for Windows XP Pro...Now in my Add or Remove
Programs window I have about 25 different installed
Hotfixes...Question is there any way to consolidate these
entries into a more concise organization...It makes it
extreemely difficult to have to scroll through all of
these to find the other installed programs.

Thanks for your help...

These entries are there in case you need to remove the hotfix. Any files
that were replaced were backed up and stored in the Windows folder, in
subfolders with names like:

$NtUninstallKB824105$

If your system is stable, and you don't need to remove any of the Hotfixes,
you can remove the backup files and the associated Add/Remove entries by
going to www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Remove Hotfix Backup Files.

Unfortunately, Add/Remove programs doesn't support a hierarchal structure,
so you can't put things that are related in folders.
