Numbering

I set the following for an Outline Numbered style:
Level 1 - [blank] - Aligned at 0cm; Tab space after 0cm; Indent at 0cm
Level 2 - 1. - Aligned at 0cm; Tab space after 1cm; Indent at 1cm
Level 3 - (a) - Aligned at 1cm; Tab space after 1cm; Indent at 2cm
Level 4 - (i) - Aligned at 2cm; Tab space after 1cm; Indent at 3cm

When I applied this to my text, I found that for level 4, the first
character appears just 0.5cm after the number but when the sentence wraps to
the next line, it goes correctly 1cm after the number.

This is specific only to (i) and (ii). At (iii), the first character
appears 1cm from the number, which is how I want it.

It sounds as if there's an intermediate tab stop at 0.5cm. Longer numbers
extend beyond this tab stop; shorter ones don't.

I experimented and think I should have set my "Tab Space AFter" equal to my
"Indent at". Doing so removes the problem I described.
