numbering pages of worksheets in one workbook

Could you please let me know, in simple steps, how to number sheets like page
1 of --, 2 of --, 3 of --, etc. in a larger workbook? Remember I am not a
MVP otherwise I would not ask this

If your source for printed pages spans more than one worksheet you can
right-click on a sheet tab and "select all sheets"

The, with all sheets grouped you go to View>Header/Footer and hit either header
or footer.

Find page1 of ? selection and click it.

If just one worksheet to be printed do not group sheets but follow remainder of
instructions for page 1 of ?

Go to File>Page setup...>Header/footer tab>Custom... and type in either
right, centre or left, header or footer
