NTRDL is missing.

So it appears while deleting junk from my harddrive, i've accidently deleted
the NTRDL file.

Now, I can't reformat because the "Reformat Disk" is actually on a seperate
partition on my harddrive.

What should I do? Reformating isn't really an option...

What file? Do you mean NTLDR? How do you know you deleted it? What isn't
working? What error messages?

I don't understand what you mean here. What is "Reformat Disk"? Do you
mean the process to reinstall the OS involves a (hidden) recovery partition
on the drive with an image of the drive as received by the factory?

Reformatting isn't what you would need to do anyway. By reformatting do you
mean reinstalling the OS? I'm not saying that you should do this at this
point since we don't even know what the problem is, but why isn't it an
option?

Sorry I keep on hitting send too quickly. Here is another reference. Take
a look at the post by MVP Malke which references a post by the late MVP Alex
Nichol about this error.
