ntoskrnl.exe Missing/Nothing Works....

After playing with my computer, trying to get it to start up, I tried to
start in 'safe mode' by hitting the 'F8' key, but it would not work.
Eventually a screen came up telling me that file ntoskrnl.exe was either
missing or corrupted. I tried to boot up with the Windows XP disc, and that
would not work either. I tried the disk in both of my cd-rom drives and
neither would boot me up. I tried the 6 floppy disks that I had to create
when I first installed XP for fixing problems, but after inserting disk #2,
it tells me that I am missing file ntoskrnl.exe and cannot continue.
Everything that I have tried seems to fail. Is there any way at all I can get
this computer to finally boot or start up so that I can at least re-install
XP or even try to repair it? It gets to the Windows XP screen, right before
the blue User screen and shuts down automatically, rebooting until it gets to
the same screen, shuts down and reboots again. I am despirate!!! Please
help!!!!

I have had a faulty ntoskrnl.exe cause my computer to lock up a fe
times. The following has got me back in business. May help with othe
things.
I have put a folder on my C: drive (krnl), and copied a goo
ntoskrnl.exe to it.
Go to http://www.mirrors.org/archived_sof...iles/xpboot.exe
Download xpboot, put an empty Floppy Disk in drive and Click xpboot
Name it something you will remember. Start with the disk in the drive
It changes the letter on your CD drives, and shows you what they are o
the first screen. Write them down so you remember. (Mine are R & S)
(Enter) At A:\> prompt type, (space after copy, space after .exe).
copy C:\krnl\ntoskrnl.exe C:\windows\system32
(Enter)
If asked to overtype, type y, (Enter). Do Ctrl, Alt, Delete to Boot.
If you can get someone to Burn ntoskrnl.exe from Windows\system32 to
CD, put it in the drive and you can type. copy R:\ntoskrnl.ex
C:\Windows\system32 (Enter). If asked to overtype, type Y, (Enter). D
Ctrl, ALT, Delete to boot
Hope this helps. Sure helps me
