ntoskrnl.exe corrupted

When I boot my computer using windows XP, i receive the
message that the \system32/ntoskrnl.exe file is corrupted
or missing. I have tried a non-destructive system
recovery, hoping it would replace the missing or corrupted
file, to no avail. I don't have a CD with XP to boot from,
just a partition on my hard drive and the F10 key to bring
up the recovery option. ANY HELP????

Without an actual XP CD you can't do a repair install or get into the
recovery consol. Your only option beyond what you have done is to do a full
recovery and start over. Perhaps your system manufacturer's tech support
can help but without the proper tools there's nothing we have to offer that
might resolve this situation non-destructively.

The following article has some suggestions that do not require using an XP
CD or the Recovery Console. Perhaps one of those resolutions will work for
