NTLPR is missing XP won't boot up

XP failed to boot, anticipated MBR corrupted, in recovery
ran fixmbr, now get NTLPR is missing. Is it possible and
if so how do i recover without reinstalling.
 
Make a Windows XP boot floopy. Format a floppy in another XP machine in GUI
mode, dont quick format the disk. Then copy the NTLDR, ntdetect.com and
boot.ini files to the floppy and try to boot the machine. If it botts, copy
those same files to the C: drive on your machine.
 
while still in your recovery console copy ntldr from the i386 folder to the
root of c:
