NTLDR

I am using XP Pro. I was installing Roxio 7.5 when near the end of the
install it was telling me that I did not have permission to continue. The
only choice was to retry, cancel and abord. I tried all three, but on the
abord cmd., it uninstalled itself and on reboot I got the NTLDR screen.
I have been trying to fix the drive, but can not get any boot disk to see
the NTFS. Is there any boot disk that can see NTFS. I downloaded the file
what was to fix the error but it could not see the C:\ dirve.
Help.

I take it you've tried restarting in Safe Mode (F8 at startup) and removing
Roxio?

Chances are it's installed a CD driver that is causing a conflict. Or a bad
ASPI layer.

If it won't uninstall, try a rollback with System Restore.

If none of these works, you may have to find and remove the offending driver
by hand.

If Safe Mode won't work either, the best way to get into the disk is with a
bootable BartPE CD. You need access to a working XP computer to make one of
these, though.
