NTLDR missing

When upgrading from WIN ME to Win2000, at the first
reboot, I get a message that says NTLDR missing, press any
key to reboot. Of course, you can never get to your
operating system because this is an endless loop. How can
I get out of this mess.
 
Take out the floppy diskette.
FYI, WinMe->W2k is not an upgradeable path.
