NTLDR Missing on CF boot

Jonny Wilkinson

Hi

I'm having a problem trying to get our new embedded system up and running.
I want to boot off a CF and so far I have performed the following
operations:

1) Booted from an MS-DOS boot disk on the target machine
2) Ran fdisk to create a primary/active partition on the CF
3) Ran bootprep
4) Created an image using the target designer and copied the result to the
CF using a USB adapter

When I put the CF in the target machine, I receive the following error:
"NTLDR missing"

Could anyone help me on this one

Thanks

Jonny

Too funny! I have a question for you, though. Are you running the
regular NTLDR or the EWF version? If you're booting from CF the EWF
might be a better option. Just curious, because our programmer and I
have been discussing a Flash option for our system, in the future.
Glad that you found the "missing link!"

Cheers. ~ Jodie
